Lydia + Sidney Rudeemer Lutheran College & St Margarets Wedding, Ascot

There was SO much to love about Lydia and Sidney's wedding. Firstly, it was my first Chinese wedding...and Lydia you were right, by the end of the night I was wishing I could have a Chinese wedding myself!

The ceremony was held at Rudeemer Lutheran College (featuring the largest group photo I've ever done-300 people!) with a lunch held at the venue. After some creative shots (including a break for ice-cream at Mister Fitz) we headed to St Margaret's Anglican Girls School in Ascot for an intimate traditional Chinese tea ceremony followed by the reception at the same venue (and my, what an awesome venue this was-check out the view!)

The wedding featured many homemade touches; from the bouquets (made by the bride) to the cake (AMAZING CAKE!) made by the bride's family friends and the wedding styling (done by the couple). I loved that the Bride wore the same dress her mother wore at her wedding tea ceremony. I loved the combination of traditional Chinese culture with the couple's love for rap music (including an epic battle on the dance floor to Eminem with her brother....Lydia won!) I love that the couple bought glow sticks for their guests and made cookies for the tables. I love that the couple's love for their cats was mentioned almost as much as their love for each other. I loved the Father of the Bride's hilarious speech, where he said the groom was okay by him as he liked his Facebook posts. I loved having the awesome Phoebe running the Frankly Booth for me (AstroTurf with purple flowers) and the dance party we got to have at the end of the night.
